There’s an Intruder in the House! #sundayswithsophie

Sophie here! I thought this was going to be a restful and relaxing weekend. But that never seems to be the case in our household. Turns out Mom and Pops welcomed another intruder to our house yesterday!

I knew something was up when they left early in the morning to go somewhere…they muttered something about “beating traffic” or some human nonsense. They came back a little bit later with this tiny black ball of fur.

It’s Black Cat Appreciation Day!

In honor of Black Cat Appreciation Day, I thought I’d remind everyone about our first foster cat, Juno. Unfortunately, Little Miss Juno is still waiting for adoption at Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles. And while Juno has a tiny white patch on her chest, I consider her a black cat.

Kittens! And the adventure begins…

On Saturday this past weekend, our day began at CatConLA (another post on that later), and then we drove up to Best Friends Los Angeles to finalize the adoption of Woodrow. And guess what, we were approved! :-) But of course we couldn’t leave the shelter without bringing home a new foster or two. Continue reading “Kittens! And the adventure begins…”

Adopt a Shelter Cat Month with Foster Cat Lion #fosterfriday

I’d like to officially introduce you to our newest foster cat Lion. This four-year-old handsome fella may look a tiny bit familiar to regular blog readers. Some cat named Dexter isn’t too sure about the new guy and his tabby face. It’s okay, Dexter, there’s plenty of love to go around!

Hope Gets Adopted!

I had planned on doing a “Meet Hope” post this week to let potential adopters know how foster cat Hope is in a home environment. As it turns out, such a post is not necessary!

I briefly mentioned how we were told that Hope may need a lot of time to adjust. But she came out of her shell quickly, loved attention, playing and just hanging out. She doesn’t like being picked up, but I believe she may eventually be a lap cat. She would crawl across my lap toward the end of her stay here, but never really settled for long.
