Chatty Cats: Fred, Thanksgiving and More!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Did you eat lots of turkey? Did you give lots of thanks? I did one of those things (no turkey for this vegetarian). Stick around for the bonus photo below for a sneak peek of where I spent my Thanksgiving. Then check back on Sunday for the full story. And, be sure to check back on Wednesday next week for a fun announcement on the blog!

Chatty Cats: Scratcher Time, Dilemmas and More!

As many know, California has seen some hard times this month. The Camp Fire in Northern California, still only 40% contained at the time of this writing, is now the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in state history. It basically wiped out the entire town of Paradise, California.

And in Southern California, we’ve seen a mass shooting and multiple wildfires, the biggest being the Woolsey Fire, which is 57% contained at the time of this writing. (I am a safe distance away from the fires in SoCal, about 70 miles south.)

I mentioned on Wednesday that many animals have been affected by the fires. You can visit The Humane Society of Ventura County to look into how to help. This is just one of many organizations stepping up and helping in Southern California. Please also visit UC Davis Veterinary Emergency Response Team for Northern California. They have a lot of unclaimed animals from the Camp Fire.

We hope everyone everywhere is staying safe and holding their pets and loved ones close.
