Zen Clipper Review and Giveaway

Let’s face it. Most cats love nail trim time. Mine do. Don’t yours?

Perhaps I’m exaggerating a bit. Actually, nail trim time is a two-person job in this household. Human #1 wrangles the cat – then with sweat dripping from the brow, deposits the cat onto the blanket covered lap of human #2. Out come the clippers, a few grunts and grumbles ensue (and also a few yowls from the kitty) – clip, clip, clip – and we’re done! Then, onto cat #2 and cat #3. Sound familiar? Book Giveaway and Author Interview – Purrball Meets Burrball in Brazil

What I love about children’s books is that you don’t have to be a child to enjoy them. I admit that I have a collection of children’s books – all cat books, of course – so I was happy to receive a copy of Purrball Meets Burrball in Brazil for their Blog Tour this week.

As you may have guessed by the title, our hero cat Purrball meets a friendly sloth named Burrball in this adventure story. This book is perfect for young readers, ages 6-9, who will quickly fall in love with the two main characters as they follow along on their journey.

Below is an interview with Continue reading “Book Giveaway and Author Interview – Purrball Meets Burrball in Brazil”

La Troupe in Granada, Spain

I first became aware of Olalla through her beautiful photos on Instagram. When I reached out to her about a potential photography profile, I learned more about what she does in Granada and discovered that Olalla cares for a colony of about 30 cats. While I will be featuring Olalla’s stray and feral cat photography in a later post, today we look at La Troupe and the colony of cats that Olalla cares for.

Giving Back with Door Buddy (and a giveaway!)

One of the great things about attending BlogPaws is getting to know the person behind a company. When I met Shanelle Johnson last month at the conference, we happened to be sitting at the same breakfast table. We struck up a conversation, and I didn’t know at the time that I had her company’s product sitting in one of my swag bags, compliments of the Cat Writer’s Association (CWA).

Shanelle and her husband Scott Johnson started their company Wittle LLC, with their product, Door Buddy, launching in October 2015. While they have a great and unique product, what also struck me about their company is that they are committed to giving back. Continue reading “Giving Back with Door Buddy (and a giveaway!)”
