Happy Friday! Today is our 7th blogoversary! We started Three Chatty Cats back on January 20, 2016. I can’t believe it’s already been seven years. It’s been a fun ride, and it’s not over yet. Thanks for following along on our blogging journey. Continue reading “Chatty Cats: 7th Blogoversary”
Well, we’ve arrived at another Friday. I hesitate to say my usual “Happy Friday” because of the news I have to share. We said goodbye to Eddie last week. Here’s what I shared on Facebook over the weekend:
Eddie ran off to the rainbow bridge on Friday. He shared 17 years of his life with us and was our first pet. Eddie played big brother to three cats — and more recently tolerated our last two additions. We adopted Eddie on June 22, 2003. We said goodbye on July 3, 2020. He had a long, full life – and we miss him terribly. RIP, Eddie. (Grass photo is one week after we adopted him. Bow tie photo is after one of his last grooming sessions this year.)
Here’s what the cats were up to this (sad) week. Continue reading “Chatty Cats: Goodbyes, Handsome and More!”
What’s a dog to do when a cat steals his bed?
As most readers know by now, we’re proud to be participating in Remember Me Thursday here at Three Chatty Cats. And today is the day…it’s Remember Me Thursday and we want everyone talking about pet adoption on social media!
We’ve already shared Woodrow’s Pro Tips for Adopting a Shelter Cat (from a former shelter cat!) – and that’s also the post where fellow bloggers can link up to the official Remember Me Thursday Blog Hop that we’re co-hosting with Lola the Rescued Cat.
But today, I’d like to share with you our pets’ rescue stories. Some of you may already know them, and some may be reading them for the first time. But what better day to share about our rescue pets again than on #RememberMeThursday. And perhaps, someone considering getting a new pet will decide on pet adoption first. The heat has crept back up this week. High 90s. I checked the forecast and it will be in the low 90s for the foreseeable future. How fun. In non-weather news, Ross and I are volunteering at the Best Friends Su-Purrr Adoption event this weekend in Los Angeles. It is the group’s first ever cat and kitten focused adoption event! I promised the cats we wouldn’t come home with any new friends. What are you up to this weekend?
