Remembering Dexter with Photo Jewelry by Customodish

My sweet Dexter was one of the original Three Chatty Cats when I started blogging 10 years ago. As readers may remember, he passed away in January 2025. I think about and miss him every single day. As many pet parents who have lost a beloved pet understand, it took me a long time to look at photos of him without feeling sad. It still hits me sometimes. But mostly, I can think of my grumpy boy now and smile.

Selecting the Jewelry and Dexter’s Photo

The process of ordering the necklace on their website was easy and straightforward. The hardest part was choosing which photo of Dexter I wanted to use. But after settling on the photo below (I chose it because it looks like he’s smiling), I followed the steps online to place my order. The necklace arrived about a week later.

The necklace comes in a jewelry box with a pouch and a cleaning cloth.

I chose the 18-inch chain length (+2-inch extender), and I am happy with the fit.

While the heart-shaped necklace itself is a lovely piece of jewelry, I actually gasped when I peered into the pendant and saw Dexter’s tiny photo! After peeking inside, I then tried to get it to project. It took me a moment to get it situated just right, but I was able to do so using my phone’s flashlight.

Overall, this is such a fun concept. But what’s more, it’s a wonderful keepsake and way to hold your pet close.
