Chatty Cats: Sophie’s Dilemma

Happy Friday! The big news around here is that I took away the king-size comforter that the cats were using on the sofa chair. Being spring now, I thought it was a bit much. Sophie didn’t speak to me for a bit, but I did replace it with another (smaller) blanket. I didn’t hear a thank you.

Also, did you see our post about taking your cat to the vet yearly? If not, you can check it out here. Have a great weekend!

Sophie’s Dilemma

Sophie: Excuse me, what is this?
Mama: What’s what?
Sophie: This puny little blanket on my chair. Where’s my big comforter?
Mama: First, that’s my chair. Second, it’s 70 degrees outside.
Sophie: First, don’t kid yourself. Second, outside temps mean nothing to an indoor cat.
Mama: You’re not getting the giant blanket back.
Sophie: Then I shall never get in that chair again!!
Mama: Okay.
Sophie: Hey!

The Week in Photos

Dexter tried out the new blanket.

Sophie finally gave in. (The new blanket was calling to her.)

Woodrow said who needs a blanket when you have a basket.

Olive says who needs a blanket when you could be playing all day! That is…until your little sister ruins it.

  1. oh … such a camper life can be hard sometimes right? sophie it seems that was not your lucky week… but we hope for april, she is a girl and the lucky times will start…..

  2. Poor Olive! Sophie, you are a naughty girl – MOL! Y’all look uber cute this week as always, have a wonderful sunny California weekend all.

  3. Glad Sophie finally decided the new blankie was acceptable. Nice camper Olive, but I guess you need a security system. Have a nice weekend. XO

  4. OOPS! Well camping can be dangerous around your house! Cats really don’t like anything to change – ever – but Sophie knew the Spring blanket would be comfy she just wanted to register her complaint. Typical cattitude!

    Hugs, Pam
