Hello! I wanted to start by thanking everyone for their kind words about Harley. And thank you to those who made beautiful graphics, to those who donated in Harley’s name, and to those who sent cards in the mail. Harley was loved by many and knowing that has been so comforting. Many have asked how the cats are doing. Dexter, Olive and Sophie are fine. For a while, Woodrow was pretty clingy, always wanting to be near and also sleeping curled up in the crook of my arm all night. He’s doing better now. We’re all settling in (whether we want to or not) to our new normal. Again, thank you for all the love and kind words.
Menuless Breakfast
Sophie: Mama, are you awake?
Mama: No.
Sophie: But…our breakfast.
Mama: It’s 4:30!
Sophie: I know! Meal prep takes an hour, so you should get up and get started.
Mama: It takes me five minutes to get your breakfast ready.
Sophie: If you were serving something good, it would take an hour.
Mama: Sophie!
Sophie: Can I at least see a menu?
Mama: You get what you get.
Sophie: Can I get that now then? My tummy will just have to make do with a mediocre breakfast.

The Week in Photos
Sophie led the way back upstairs when breakfast was finally ready.
Woodrow said he’s staying in the holiday scratcher until Santa comes.
Dexter consulted my desk calendar to see how long he’d be free of Woodrow.
Olive got comfy.

You’re all looking so gorgeous. Hugs, purrs and love.xx😻
sophie you are right… there is nothing more important than breakfast… it is the start signal for the day… so 4:30 is ok…
Is this universal cat breakfast time? Or Sophie and Cuddles must be related!
Gosh 4:30AM sounds wonderful compared to Teddy’s 3AM breakfast schedule! Glad everyone is adjusting to the new normal – it isn’t the same, but it’s new and we must carry on…..you all do it with a smile. Extra hugs……………..
Love, Teddy and Pam
Sophie!… you are such a sweet stinker! That is a funny Mama conversation :) I don’t think Dexter trusts the penguin at the wheel!
Glad to hear everyone is adjusting. My Sasha is the alarm clock. She signals when it’s time and will do it with a loud scolding!
You take the best photos. Glad things are settling in to a new normal. It takes a long time to get accustomed to one less furry “person” in your life. Thanks for the adorable Christmas card. Dexter looks like he is out making deliveries
I agree that he does. Maybe he has a part time job with Amazon!
You are very determined to get your breakfast, Sophie!
It is hard to lose a family member. You all look adorable. XO
It’s so nice that Sophie lets you sleep in until 4:30!
Sophie, why can’t humans understand that us cats don’t read clocks…we only know tummy time! ~Ernie
Sophie, you must enjoy sleeping in. I, Jake Housepanther, like my first breakfast around 3 a.m. Dexter, if you’re making deliveries for Amazon, my Can Opener says ring our doorbell and she’ll give you some snackies for the road. We both miss Harley, sending comforting thoughts.
Woodrow looks like he’s rolling up with breakfast, Sophie! LOL
Sophie, you remind me of our BooBoo – food is EVERYTHING – MOL! Sending love to all you sweet kitties, keep the pics coming – I love seeing y’all.
Sophie Frodo also wakes me up some mornings for food! He is led by his tummy!
You can’t be early enough for some breakfast, right Sophie…MOL…You all look very cute in your Christmaspictures🎄Double Pawkisses from us to all of you🐾😽💞
Go back to bed, Sophie! Breakfast can wait :) Love that scratcher.
