Happy Friday! We celebrated another gotcha day this week – and it was a special one, as you’ll see below. It took place on Father’s Day over the weekend. Speaking of…we hope all of the cat daddies had a wonderful Father’s Day!
Here’s what the cats were up to this week!
Warning!
Olive: Uh oh.
Mama: What?
Olive: It’s coming! Stand back!
Mama: What’s coming?
Olive: ∗yawwnnnnnn∗
Mama: Impressive.
Olive: Did it get you?
Mama: I’m good.

Lazy Mama
Harley: Mama, why are you back in bed?
Mama: I got up at 5:30 to feed you. Can’t I take a little nap?
Harley: Yes. I’m a big proponent of napping.
Mama: Good.
Harley: But you’re in my spot.
#viewfrommynap
I got back in bed this morning at 7:45 to just relax. Harley was very confused since I never do this. These photos are a bit blurry, but this series of shots shows him walking over to see what I’m doing back in bed. He’s so cute! Hope you have a wonderful Caturday!
A Full Circle Gotcha Day
Today is a special gotcha day for Dexter. We found him 11 years ago outside in 100+ heat as a tiny stray kitten. But what makes today extra special? The day we found him was Father’s Day that year. And here we are now 11 years later — on Father’s Day again! Dexter was our first cat, and now he has four cat siblings (he likes two of them). Happy Gotcha Day, Dexter! And Happy Father’s Day to all of the cat daddies out there!

The Goofball Strikes Again
Mama: Sophie!
Sophie: A little help.
Mama: What are you-
Sophie: Never you mind!
Mama: Okay, bye.
Sophie: I said a little help!

Not Pizza
Woodrow: Who’s knocking on the door?
Mama: I don’t know.
Woodrow: Is it pizza?
Mama: Yes, pizza is knocking on the door.
Woodrow: I knew it. I hope you got extra cheese.
Mama: You’re gonna be disappointed.
Woodrow: Aww, no extra cheese?
#hopefulcat #cheeselover
Too Many?
Harley: Have you seen my banana?
Mama: It’s right in front of you.
Harley: This is Woodrow’s. Mine is less slobbered on.
Mama: What are you doing with his banana?
Harley: Slobbering on it.
Mama: There’s another one over there.
Harley: That’s Olive’s.
Mama: How many bananas are there?
Harley: 72.
#soundsaboutright
If your house is like our house, then it’s overrun with these catnip bananas. While we might not have 72 (yet), we do have enough for each cat to have their own.
Tummy Time
Mama: Tortie tummy!
Olive: You may proceed with a tummy rub.
Mama: I’m just admiring.
Olive: PROCEED WITH A TUMMY RUB!

Bonus Friday Photo
Who dat? The cats can’t believe we had a guest over this week. It’s been so long since we’ve had people over socially (inside anyway). I don’t think they’re fans.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy happy gotcha day dear Dexter! we are only allowed to wake the mama 7am… but oh boy how we would like 5:30 am… or maybe 5:30 and 7 am?
That last shot is like my cats when company comes. They sit on the top of the staircase and peer down (except for Sasha who hides under the bed).
Happy Gotcha Day Dexter! How special that you started dad on his cat dad journey.
Also, it’s ok kitties. Visitors are friendly and they keep mommy and daddy happy.
Sophie, if I had a dollar for every time I’d helped a cat get unstuck, I’d had a pile of money!
Love the last photo; they are curious, but definitely don’t want to get too close.
In our house, it’s toy springs, not bananas. We may be up to 100s by now. Lol.
Happy Gotcha Day Dexter! As happy as you make your humans, I hope you know you struck gold when they found you!

Happy weekend to the kitties! I think I ate Woodrow’s pizza…
Such fun photos today gang! Happy Gotcha Day Dexter, we love the little wee you photo!
Oh Dexter – what a cutie you were as a baby and what a cutie you are as a big boy – it was destiny!! Happy Gotcha. Teddy is a big fan of springs – there just be at least 72 (!) of them around here – he has one banana and once in a while he will give it a good kick or two but springs are his fave. He carries them ALLLLLLL over the house and we find them in the weirdest places! Great photos as always – I unstick Teddy from things only when it’s time for a nail trim – it’s how I know it’s time for me to trim them! HAHA
Hugs, Pam
Happy Gotcha Day Dexter! Love the photos of the kitties!
Happy 11th Gotcha Day Dexter! If I could find all the nip nanas, I would tie them all together into a bunch!
Awww Dexter that IS a most special Gotcha Day that you had! Happy Belated Gotcha Day and here’s to MANY more!
You guys are too funny! Happy Gotcha Day to Dexter! What a great Father’s Day that was!
Happy Gotcha Day Dexter ! You sure landed in a good place !
Every single one this week has been purrfect as always, and the bonus photo is hysterical! I think they prefer having no visitors :)
Olive, you made me yawn. I want to rub the tummy. :) And Sophie, you are a bit naughty ruining curtains. Happy Gotcha Day Dexter! And I hope your dad had a nice Father’s Day! XO
Happy Gotcha Day Dexter!
The last photo reminds me of when our friends from Yorkshire came to stay. Flynn was always timid with strangers, but the first day would peer at them from a safe distance. When they came out of their room the next morning his expressive little face looked so puzzled as much as to say, “You were supposed to go home last night!”
Happy Gotcha Day Dexter!!!
Happy Gotcha Day Dex! I can call you Dex, right? Good. My claws used to get caught all over. Sophie needed to scream like I do so she’d get some help. Pop was on a zoom call the last time I did it. MOL!
Happy Gotcha Day, Dexter! And Harley, we are big napping proponents here, too (and we all have our favorite spots, amiright?)!
Oh my God I LOVE the photo of Dexter as a kitten- boy was he lucky you found him!
Happy Gotcha Day, Dexter ! We hope you had a wonderful celebration ! How cool that each of you has his/her own nip nana ! Purrs
I knew it! We’re TOTALLY meant to be, Woodrow. I LOVE pizza and cheese too! ~Ellie Mae
You are all so very amazing, Mom too
Thanks so much for your kind words when I left for the bridge.
Love you Friends
