Woodrow: I’m fine right here.
Mama: I told you, Woodrow. Santa isn’t coming for another week. You don’t need to camp out in front of the fireplace.
Woodrow: I’m playing it safe. Can you bring me a book, my pillow, two fishy sticks, some playing cards and my litter box?
Mama: No.
Woodrow: Make that three fishy sticks and my Uno cards.

Senior Lady
Olive: Mama, am I old?
Mama: Why would you ask that?
Olive: Because I had a… ∗gasp∗ senior exam today!
Mama: You’re only as old as you feel.
Olive: I feel pretty.
Mama: …pretty young?
Olive: That too.

Olive had her annual wellness checkup today. And because of her age, she had her first senior exam. The exam part went well. We’ll have her labs back tomorrow and hopefully everything comes back normal. It feels like only yesterday that we took in a little tortie stray kitten. Olive is now a gorgeous mature lady cat. (I’m pretty sure I’m not allowed to call her senior.)
