SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder
So, what is it and how does it work? As the name suggests, it’s a feeder that is paired with a cat’s unique microchip, ensuring that it only opens for that cat. If you have a reason to, though, you can pair multiple cats to one feeder.
In September 2019, we did a complete review of the microchip pet feeder. I showed how to pair the feeder with a microchip, discussed its benefits, showed how easy it is to clean, and also went over two concerns (if the microchip has moved in your cat – and sneaky cats sneaking food). At the time, I said I loved the feeder. And if anything, I love it even more now!
Harley and His Feeder
When we first received the feeders, Harley had not yet been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. But when he was diagnosed a couple months later, part of his treatment plan was changing his diet. Not only does having the microchip feeder help keep the other cats out of his specific food, but we can also leave his wet food out longer in the sealed dish, ensuring he eats it all. Harley is a grazer, so he comes back to his feeder several times throughout the day (and night).
I can honestly say that the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder is one of the most helpful items I’ve used as a pet parent. I will always use these.

I like that it controls who can eat the food so you don’t have to worry about another pet getting into the food meant for a certain pet.
This would allow me to leave Toots’ medicated treats out without worrying that Inky would eat them instead.
It will keep my other cat from eating from eating her sister’s food.
Those really are one of the most interesting pet products out there!

I love how it controls who can eat from the feeder, since my 2 boys like to try and steal my older girls food all the time, this would definitely be helpful!

Oh wow! Our mom has been wanting to try one of these with us. She wants to keep Lexy on a diet. But don’t tell her I told you that.
This is really a nice feeder. But we aren’t microchipped. So it might not be the best for us.

We have one cat who eats slowly and lets other cats push him aside. We could fatten him up a bit with his own feeder.
I like that it limits who can get into the food. Super helpful for multipet households. One of my dogs always tries to eat the others food!

i think it is great idea, would keep other pets away from the food and keep dogs from free eating. I like that if i am late getting home, i know the my girl will eat on time.
I’ve got the non-microchip version and it’s great.
This will be very useful for the grazers, giving them the option of revisiting the bowl without bugging you to feed them again. Not to mention the food thieves! Plenty of those around here too MOL.

I have 3 cats and one cat always eats too fast and pukes so i think this would be perfect for him.
Wowy, Mom and I didn’t know there was such a thing! Now that I’m not the only kitty in my household, it might be something that Mom will want to get us at some point. She feeds us at separate tables, but Sisfur Esmay goes back and gets seconds after Sisfur Myrnie doesn’t completely clean her plate. Tummy tickles.
