Big Max™ Durable Ceramic Drinking Fountain

Keeping Harley Hydrated

A little over a year ago, Harley was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. So, keeping him hydrated and drinking plenty of water is very important. Having a drinking fountain helps with that because it circulates the water, keeping it fresh and more appealing to drink. And as you can see here, Harley dove right in.

Mama: So, what’s the verdict?
Harley: It’s very stylish.

Harley: And I like how quiet it is. No splish-splashing on my whiskers.

Harley brings up a good point. We’ve had a few other fountains and none have been this quiet. I also like how it doesn’t splash droplets on the floor. Take a listen…I promise, there is audio on this video!

Big Max™ Durable Ceramic Drinking Fountain

So, Harley gives the Big Max fountain four paws up. And here are some of its features:

  • Circulates water so it remains fresh.
  • Replaceable charcoal filter to keep the water clean.
  • Ceramic material helps prevent feline acne (which can be caused by plastic).
  • Easy-to-clean and dishwasher safe (ceramic parts only).
  • With a water capacity of 128 oz, it’s large enough for dogs and multi-cat households.

Pioneer Pet advises cleaning the fountain once a week. And for optimal performance, change the filter every two to four weeks and clean the pump once a month. You can learn more about this fountain and their other ceramic fountains on their wesbite.

  1. My roommate’s cat LOVES to drink running water. This fountain looks great, and would be a beautiful replacement for his fountain that just died.

  2. I have 8 cats and 1, Cody, has chronic cystitis and loves to drink from the sink. One of my others, Tigger was just diagnosed 3 weeks ago with diabetes, so he drinks a lot. He will love this!! He deserves it because he’s been thru so much in such a short time.

  3. WOWSERS…..that’s a nice big fountain and as you said – QUIET which is wonderful when most fountains buzz or hum along noisily! I try to make sure Teddy gets lots of water since he’s on prescription dry food. That means water bowls on all floors of the house. Another great item in your Giveaway!

    Hugs, Pam

  4. That is a lovely looking fountain. We used to have a Pioneer raindrop fountain which Eric loved. He used to scrape all the water out at night and get the kitchen floor flooded. I had to turn it off when I wasn’t around so he didn’t mess the motor up!

  5. We have two cats – one drinks plenty of water, but the other doesn’t. He’s prone to crystals, so he is on a strict wet food only diet. I add water to his wet food to make sure that he staying hydrated. This fountain would be perfect for our cats.

  6. Rousey loves fountains but most are plastic and I try to steer away from those type! This would be purrfect.

  7. I guess my cat drinks enough water. They’re healthy and I make clean, fresh, water readily available to them. This is great that this is ceramic and not plastic.

  8. Most of my cats drink enough water. 2 are in renal failure, but now are drinking more and doing well. I have one kitty that drinks from his paw. He always dips his paw in the bowl, scoops water out and drinks that way. Funny little guy.

  9. I add water to their wet food daily to ensure they get enough liquid but they also drink from 3 water bowls all over the house

  10. Gracie loves her fountain. Ours is defiinitely not that quiet, though. Glad Harley likes his, and is staying hydrated. :)

  11. My cat is always peeing, so I guess she gets enough. However she likes her water from outside/rain water – not from our faucet — let’s say she prefers it that way, but will drink inside water when she has to!

  12. It’s hard to say really. Daisy Mae likes her ice cubes and drinks water around the ice cube but in my opinion she doesn’t drink enough water.
I would love to win this water fountain for my cat mostly because it might help her get more water and she’s never had one.
    Hope I Win.

  13. Yes my cats get enough water. My cats always have access to water as well as the faucet dripping. Having a fountain would be so much better for them though.

  14. Nope, most of them do not drink enough! All of our kitties are now seniors and two have urinary tract issues, so it’s a constant battle to get liquid into them. This fountain truly looks fantastic!

  15. our 4 month old kitten seems to drink quite a bit of water. Of course he also loves to play in it. I love this water dish.

  16. 128oz!! I think our current fountain, which is about ready to be replaced (can only scrub off the calcium deposits for a couple years) holds 64oz or less.

  17. My cats loved the last fountain we had. They always have clean water to drink so they drink enough but they so love the fountain water I’d love to give them a new one like this.

  18. he does, but prefers drinking when I’m pouring the water so think he’d appreciate a fountain. I purchased one before but it was too loud!

  19. My cats love water. I took in three strays this summer so I have a total of five cats. Occasionally, I catch two of them drinking out of the toilet or licking up water from the shower. I think they would really appreciate this fountain. Thanks for having such wonderful giveaways!
