We have several of their litter mats throughout our house, their pet carrier and also their pet cube/bed. Smiling Paws Pets’ Expandable Soft-Sided Pet Carrier
The carrier arrives in its own handy carry case. Assembly of the pet carrier takes all of 10 seconds. Just unfold it, insert the removable bottom pad and zip it up!
With the human assistance part done and over with, I’ll now pass things over to Woodrow. He was a big fan of the previous pet carrier, but what about this new one? Woodrow, tell us what you think!
Woodrow Inspects the Pet Carrier
Woodrow: Alrighty, let me at this pet carrier. I shall give it the full Woodrow 256-point comprehensive inspection.
Mama: 256 points? That’s pretty thorough.
Woodrow: They don’t call me Thorough Woodrow for nothing.
Mama: I’m pretty sure no one calls you that.
Woodrow: They will after this inspection! Now let me climb in here.
Mama: You’re a big boy. Are you going to fit?
Woodrow: Of course, I’ll fit! Look how roomy this carrier is. I hear it handles cats and small dogs up to 15 pounds. I’m a mere 14 pounds, Mama.
Woodrow: Hmm, this comfy pad is quite comfy. It’s like a fluffy cloud on my pawsies.
Woodrow: And dat snappy looks good.
Mama: That’s used to hold the zippered top in place when it’s rolled open.
Woodrow: I know dat! No interrupting my inspection, Mama!
Woodrow: All checks out back here. I can’t find anything I don’t approve of.
Woodrow: Okay, all set, Mama. The carrier has been inspected and passes, uh, inspection!
Mama: Good job, Woodrow! That was the fastest 256-point inspection I’ve ever seen.
Woodrow: They don’t call me Fast Woodrow for nothing.
About the Expandable Soft-Sided Pet Carrier
Well, looks like Woodrow approves of the pet carrier. We’re happy to report that Smiling Paws Pets thought of everything when redesigning their pet carrier. It’s airline approved, has great air flow, can be strapped into the car, and has top or front entry.
The dimensions of the carrier are:

We’ve seen that carrier on a number of blogs and it looks like a GREAT one! Teddy doesn’t qualify due to his “generous” proportions at 22 lbs. but if I could cram him in a carrier it would be THAT one. Nice ventilation, comfy pad – what’s not to love?! Thanks Woodrow for “telling it like it is”.

Do you have to use a dog crate for Teddy? That’s not meant to be an insult, Teddy. Just a true question! Our dog Eddie weighs about 20 pounds!
Looks nice, will it stand up to a panicked cat with claws? I have yet to get our furbabies comfortable in a carrier.
My cats don’t use their claws on carriers, but I think this would hold up pretty well!
Those really look nice and we do prefur the soft kind of carriers here.

I didn’t realize there was a redesign to this carrier! Angel uses the one we have (old design) as her morning napping location, then she moves to the laundry basket in the afternoon.
It just came out recently! I’m glad Angel likes the original one.
We reviewed this carrier too. For the money, it is an excellent value! Made very well. Though Ernie has taken to laying on top of it instead of in it now.

No treats necessary! Woodrow is pretty much the perfect cat when it comes to doing reviews. He loves investigating new things, so I just set it down and he literally crawled right in! I knew he’d like this, though, because he used the previous carrier as a napping spot all the time.
