An Exciting Announcement for #RememberMeThursday

For the past two years, Three Chatty Cats has been honored to participate in Remember Me Thursday, which is a global movement to help shine a light on orphan pets waiting for their forever homes in shelters and rescues.

This year, Remember Me Thursday, which was created by Mike Arms, President and CEO of Helen Woodward Animal Center, will take place on September 27, 2018.

We have an exciting announcement today about our participation in Remember Me Thursday. But for those not familiar with the event, let’s first find out what it’s all about.

#RememberMeThursday | September 27, 2018
Woodrow is a former shelter cat who found his forever home with us. He wants everyone talking about pet adoption!

Remember Me Thursday

According to the official event website (remembermethursday.org), “Remember Me Thursday® is a global awareness campaign uniting individuals and pet adoption organizations around the world as an unstoppable, integrated voice for orphan pets to live in forever homes, not die waiting for them.”

The goal of Remember Me Thursday is to get as many people as possible talking about pet adoption on social media on September 27, 2018.

Last year, nearly 330 million people used the #RememberMeThursday hashtag on social media! Can we reach that number again this year? Can we exceed it? We’re going to do our part to help!

    1. After you write your Remember Me Thursday post, you would come back to my blog and “link up” — meaning you would add your specific blog post url to the hop. It will be much clearer once I have that actual post up (on 9/20) so you could see how you enter your post. Then your blog post would be visible on my blog and on the others that link up as well. The idea is that readers hop from blog to blog to read all about RMT! You can always check it out on the 20th after my RMT post goes live. :-)

  1. We participated in Remember Me Thursday for many years, probably since it started in the blogging world, we received our “official partner” info last year and this year as well………not sure if we will be participating this year or not (due to time constraints)……..if I do, I might just repeat last years post.

  2. Thanks for the wonderful share. We will be happy to spread the word out for September 27th. Pet adoption is so important for everyone. We hope plenty of furbabies find their furever homes with wonderful families. Have a great day.

  3. I will definitely participate. I have 3 from shelters and my Angel Snowball was in a shelter for 2 years before I adopted her.

  4. We met the team from Remember Me Thursday at the 2017 BlogPaws conference in Myrtle Beach. I still remember how kind and friendly they were. Thanks so much for leading the blog hop and helping to shine a light on Remember Me Thursday.

  5. What a wonderful movement, and thanks for sharing I wasn’t aware of it. Congratulations on your new partnership, very exciting. I only rescue and of course advocate for adoption, so this year I will be writing a post in order to do my part to help homeless animals find forever families.

  6. Thanks for co-hosting the blog hop! The more eyes we have on the amazing pets up for adoption, the greater chance they have to be adopted.

  7. I would love to join you guys on the Remember Thursday blog hop! So many pets get left behind and are at risk. It breaks my heart when I see very long term shelter pets who have been waiting for years to find a loving home.
