On Tuesday afternoon a very exciting and unexpected email arrived. I learned that Three Chatty Cats had been nominated for two BlogPaws 2016 Nose-to-Nose Awards – Best Cause Blog and Best New Pet Blog.
I started Three Chatty Cats in January simply because I love cats and enjoy writing, and I thought it would be fun to marry two of my passions. I didn’t have a firm direction or plan in mind with my first few posts. But I quickly discovered that I was drawn to highlighting cat rescue groups and any individual doing their part to help cats – be it a foster parent, someone who TNRs community cats, or a volunteer photographer at a local shelter. And that naturally became the goal of my blog – to highlight these awesome rescue groups and dedicated individuals.
And to now be a finalist in two Nose-to-Nose categories for doing what I love is merely icing on the cake.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who has read my blog and supported me in this thrilling journey. I also want to congratulate all of the Nose-to-Nose nominees and give a quick shout out to my fellow category nominees. I hope you will visit each of their blogs if you haven’t already. The winners will be announced on June 25th in Phoenix, Arizona at the BlogPaws 2016 Conference. I look forward to meeting everyone there. And again, thank you from me and the Three Chatty Cats – Dexter, Olive and Sophie!
About the Awards: “These are the only pet industry awards in which pet bloggers and micro-bloggers are judged on the expertise, performance, and creativity of the entry. Each category is judged by a distinguished panel of professionals and not by popular vote. The influence of pet bloggers is growing and the BlogPaws community is leading the way.”
