This is why I love Best Friends Animal Society

I think this video about one small kitten says it all – his journey from stray to a forever home!

Best Friends is a wonderful organization. I had the pleasure of visiting  and volunteering at their Sanctuary in Utah this past October. I can’t say enough about this wonderful animal rescue. They do such good work and help so many animals! Not just at their Sanctuary, but all across the nation. If you’ve never heard of them, you will want to check them out!

“When Skeeter arrived at Best Friends Animal Society’s Salt Lake City Kitten Nursery, he was motherless and just two days old. But with lots of loving care and a tough spirit, Skeeter quickly grew to be healthy and strong. He also possessed a bigger than life personality. Watch Skeeter’s 16 week journey from the nursery to his new loving home. For more information on Best Friends Animal Society and its many life-saving programs, go to best

Best Friends Animal Society is the only national animal welfare organization focused exclusively on ending the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters. A leader in the no-kill movement, Best Friends runs the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, as well as lifesaving programs in partnership with rescue groups and shelters across the country. Since its founding in 1984, Best Friends has helped reduce the number of animals killed in American shelters from 17 million per year to about 4 million. By continuing to build effective initiatives that reduce the number of animals entering shelters and increase the number who find homes, Best Friends and its nationwide network of members and partners are working to Save Them All®.” source
